Labncroft and our history

Allow me introduce myself and a bit of history about my family and our dogs. I am Dane Maltsberger, the forth generation in a family of hunting dog breeders.  

Orval Boling, my great grandfather, started with Setters in the late 1880s.  His son Lewis Boling went on to develop several reputable lines of Pointers through the 1960s.  My mother Janet added to the Brittany Spaniels lines through the 1970s and then switched over to Labradors in the 1980s. 

My wife Kim and I have two children, Parker and Analiese.  Our children, just as I myself, have always known a dog to be at their side since their earliest memory.

We, at present, maintain four pedigree lines of Labrador Retrievers; these have been running concurrent since the early 1980s.

There is something to be said about keeping a family tradition alive for over 100 years.  As we watch the fifth generation grow and mature our sincerest hope is that one day our children can take the helm and continue to provide quality companions for families like yours.
